By using Kohtaa you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
The service
Kohtaa is provided as is. Availability is not guaranteed and the service can change or stop at any time.
Age
You must be 18 or older to use Kohtaa.
Translations can be wrong
Translations are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Kohtaa is not a replacement for a certified interpreter. Do not use it for medical, legal or emergency decisions.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Kohtaa for anything illegal.
- Conversations, including audio, are recorded. Tell the other person before you start.
- Do not record people without telling them.
Limits
Usage limits may apply, for example a maximum number of conversations at once, a daily amount of free audio per connection or device, a monthly amount per subscription, and a maximum length per conversation.
Subscriptions
In the Android app you can subscribe to a paid plan (Plus or Pro) that includes a number of translation minutes per calendar month. The plan, the minutes and the price are shown in the app before you buy. Prices include the taxes shown by the store.
- Subscriptions are billed and renew automatically every month until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Google Play account.
- You cancel in Google Play (Subscriptions) at any time. You keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for.
- The minutes in your plan reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Unused minutes do not roll over. When they are used up you can wait for the reset or switch to a larger plan.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. We cannot refund purchases ourselves. Your statutory rights stay unaffected.
- Your subscription is tied to the install of the app. Use Restore purchases in the app after reinstalling on the same Google account.
Liability
To the extent allowed by Dutch law, Meer Development is not liable for damage resulting from the use of Kohtaa or from translation errors.
Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms.
